Diagnostic Testing
Diagnostic Testing is key to finding the scientific cause of your homes issues
Here at Allied Experts we offer a few different types of diagnostic tests to potentially detect issues within your home. We offer this so that you may be able to find fixable problems that you are unsure of.
Types of Diagnostic Testing
- Blower Door Test
- Duct Blaster Test
- Carbon Monoxide Testing
- Home Energy Monitoring
Blower Door Testing
A blower door is a powerful fan that is mounted into the frame of your front door. The fan then pulls air outside of the home which lowers the air pressure that is inside. The higher outside air pressure starts moving through all unsealed openings, gaps, and cracks in your home. Then we determine where the leaks are coming from. The purpose of this test is to determine the homes air tightness.
Duct Blaster Testing
A duct blaster fan is directly connected to the duct system at the air handler cabinet or return grille. Then after all registers and grills are temporary sealed the duct blaster fan is turned on and begins forcing air through. The purpose of a duct blaster test is to check the duct system for air leaks.
Carbon Monoxide Testing
We also offer carbon monoxide testing for your home and for gas appliances. Carbon monoxide is an odorless, toxic, and flammable gas formed by incomplete combustion of carbon. It is unhealthy and unsafe to be living with such fumes in your home. Also, we are able to check all gas pipes and gas appliances within your home for potential leaks.
Home Energy Monitoring
Allied also offers home energy monitoring. Instead of looking at specific systems and appliances, we take a whole-house approach and view your systems with a wider stance. We place energy monitors on your electrical panel and from there you are able to see when energy is being used and how much.
